Beta signup privacy
Updated October 5, 2026. This notice covers the PennedCanon beta-interest list, not a future manuscript-hosting service.
What you submit
We store your email address, optional writing stage, signup time and the version of the consent statement you accepted. We use these to organize the beta and contact you about access and beta-related updates. Signup does not create an app account.
Where it goes
The list is held on the operator’s private server, separately from Sovereign Mercy reader subscriptions. Cloudflare carries website requests and may process network and security information under its own policies. The page has no advertising trackers or analytics scripts. No manuscript or writing sample is collected.
Security and retention
The signup service stores short-lived, hashed network identifiers for abuse prevention, expiring within two hours. Beta requests remain until withdrawn or reviewed at the end of the beta recruitment period. Any exported copies must be handled privately by the operator.
Withdraw your request
After your first signup, save the private withdrawal link shown on screen. It removes your entry from the active server list. Keep it private: anyone with that link can withdraw the request. If you submit the same email again, the original entry and withdrawal link remain unchanged. Future beta emails must include an opt-out method; no email is sent by this signup form.
